Speed limit changes on entire Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach. Here’s what to know
Drivers along Ocean Boulevard should be prepared to slow down.
Because of various speed-related complaints received along different portions of Ocean Boulevard, the city decided to change the speed limit to 25 mph along the entire extent of the Boulevard, according to city spokesperson Mark Kruea by email.
Previously the speed limit was 35 mph in some segments of Ocean Boulevard. That included Farrow Parkway to 29th Avesue S, 33rd Avenue N to 52nd Avenue N, Seaside Place to 67th Avenue N, and north of 77th Avenue N.
Kruea said the announcement was made by the Public Works Department.
