Drivers along Burning Ridge Road and Myrtle Ridge Drive should be prepared for a traffic pattern change that might cause some delays as others get used to the shift.

The change will take place Wednesday, weather permitting, according to a Facebook post by Horry County Government.

Officials said there will be updated signs and pavement markings.

“We encourage everyone to exercise caution and patience while getting accustomed to the new pattern,” the posting said.

It is unclear why the traffic pattern is changing and if it will be permanent.

A message to an Horry County spokesperson was not immediately returned.
