One pedestrian killed in an early morning fatal collision in Green Sea area
One pedestrian died during a fatal collision Wednesday morning in the Green Sea area, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Horry County Fire Rescue and troopers responded to the scene of the crash at 5:45 a.m. at Green Sea Road and Fairbluff Highway.
The victim was later identified as 53-year old Kathy Brust, by the Horry County Coroner’s Office.
A Nisson Sudan was traveling west on SC 410 when it struck Brust, according to Master Trooper Brian Lee. Brust died of traumatic injuries at the scene.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
