Horry County Schools students and parents will be glad to know the district decided to stick with the popular week-long Thanksgiving break.

The district Monday set its calendar for the upcoming 2022-23 school year. It is similar to this year’s schedule.

Beginning on Aug. 15, 2022, the school year lasts until June 2, 2023.

Three major breaks are still included: a week off over the Thanksgiving holiday, two weeks off for winter break and a week-long spring break in April.

Chief Support Services Officer Daryl Brown told board members the current scheduling seemed to work well, and he didn’t think it warranted much change.
