Horry County Schools offering food pickup on Tuesdays and Thursdays this summer

Horry County Schools will soon be transitioning from its school meal pick-up and delivery program to its summer food program.

The last day for student meal pick-up and delivery will be Thursday, and the summer food program will begin June 9 and last until July 30, according to HCS spokeswoman Lisa Bourcier.

Breakfast and lunch meals will be available to students for pickup 10:30 a.m.-noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 14 schools, and parents can pick up meals without a child present by providing some required information including their name and child’s name.

Meals will be available at the following schools: Aynor Elementary, Carolina Forest Elementary, Green Sea Floyds Elementary, Homewood Elementary, Loris Elementary, Myrtle Beach Elementary, Myrtle Beach Middle, North Myrtle Beach Middle, Palmetto Bays Elementary, Socastee High School, South Conway Elementary, St. James Middle, Waccamaw Elementary and Whittemore Park Middle.

All children under the age of 18 and special needs children up to age 21 can participate.
