Myrtle Beach-area high schoolers invited to apply for scholarships
Are you a 2015 high school graduate planning to continue your education in the fall at a two-year college, a technical/community college or a four-year college or university? If you are, The Sun News Educational Foundation invites you to apply for a scholarship.
All senior high school students of Horry and Georgetown counties and Southern Brunswick, N.C., are eligble to apply.
Scholarships are awarded to outstanding students, based on the student’s motivation, potential for academic achievement, leadership and involvement in community events and civic activities.
Three $1,000 one-year scholarships are available in addition to the Mark and Nancy Garner Leadership Scholarship of $1,500 per year for four years for a total of $6,000.
The deadline to apply is May 29.
