Police said shoplifter caught with steak and shrimp at Myrtle Beach store
A man was charged with shoplifting after police said he took about 17 items, valued at more than $200, including, raw shrimp, steak, shoes, and underwear from a Myrtle Beach Wal-Mart store.
Police were called about 4:45 p.m. Monday to the Wal-Mart on Seaboard Street, where a 47-year-old loss prevention employee reported the incident, according to a police report.
The employee told police she saw Leon Crosson, 51, select items from different store departments then put all the items in bags. She stopped Crosson when he tried to leave without paying and took him to the loss prevention office where police were called, authorities said.
Officers said they viewed security footage of Crosson taking items, and he was taken to the Myrtle Beach Jail.
