Myrtle Beach man told police someone put doll on his porch

A Myrtle Beach man told police that someone placed a large doll on his front porch Monday morning.

Officers were called about 9 a.m. to an apartment building at 505 63rd Avenue N. where a 47-year-old man reported the incident, according to a police report.

The man told police that he came home about 4 a.m. and when he left about 8 a.m. he noticed a large doll had been placed in a chair on his front porch.

The man said he did not know who the doll belonged to, and police described the doll as homemade, according to the report.

The doll was taken to the property division at the Myrtle Beach Police Department.
