Myrtle Beach Rack Room Shoes store employee reports theft to police
A Myrtle Beach Rack Room Shoes employee reported a shoplifting incident to police on Tuesday, according to a police report.
Police were called about 4 p.m. to the Rack Room Shoes store at Broadway at the Beach where a store manager reported the alleged theft, officers said.
The manager said a man wearing a blue jacket and black jeans entered the store and selected a pair of brown Timberland brand boots, which were valued at almost $100.
The manager said the man looked to see if there was a sensor tag on them, and then walked out with the boots without paying.
The manager told police she asked him to stop, but he continued walking toward 21st Avenue.
Police searched the area, but they did not find the alleged shoplifter. Authorities are still investigating the incident.
