More than $1,600 in merchandise stolen from Myrtle Beach Victoria’s Secret store

A Myrtle Beach Victoria’s Secret manager reported to police that $1,698.45 worth of merchandise was taken without store employees noticing until after the incident, according to a police report.

Police were called about 8 p.m. Tuesday to the store inside Coastal Grand Mall, where the 22-year-old manager reported the theft.

The woman told police that the store was very busy from about 4 to 6:40 p.m., and all store employees had been busy assisting shoppers. She said she noticed over 30 items were missing from displays and then found 31 empty hangers and 18 security sensors, which had been forced off merchandise, police said.

There was no description of any suspect or suspects given to police due to the high volume of business in the store at the time of the theft.

Police are still investigating the incident.
