Myrtle Beach police charge woman with shoplifting after bacon, hair oil theft
Myrtle Beach police arrested a woman and charged her with shoplifting after it was reported that she took several items, including bacon, hair oil, body lotion, and jeans from a Wal-Mart store, according to a police report.
Police were called about 8 p.m. Tuesday to the Wal-Mart at 541 Seaboard St. after employees witnessed the theft, authorities said.
Wal-Mart loss prevention officers told police that they saw Carrie Jalynne Waddey, 25, take items and conceal them in her purse. Waddey paid for other items in her shopping cart, but not the items she hide in her purse, according to the report.
Officers viewed surveillance video of Waddey taking and concealing items, and she was arrested and taken to the Myrtle Beach Jail.
