Myrtle Beach police investigate plastic fork threat

A man told Myrtle Beach police another man threatened to stab him in the eye with a plastic fork, police said.

Police were called at 6:40 p.m. Thursday to Street Reach, located at 1005 Osceola St., according to a police report.

A 54-year-old man said he assisting a man, who was having a seizure, by clearing people out of the way. The victim said the 48-year-old suspect pointed a plastic fork at him and said, “I’ll stab you in the eye,” according to the report.

The suspect said he was holding a plastic fork because it was dinner time and that the victim was rude to him when he asked him to move. The suspect said he did not make any threats, but asked the victim to “get away from him,” police said.

Street Reach employees asked police to issue a trespassing notice to the suspect, so he will not be allowed there for the next 60 days, according to the report. There was not enough evidence for police to make an arrest on assault charges.
