Myrtle Beach woman arrested following argument after card fight

Police were called to a Myrtle Beach apartment complex when a fight erupted between a man and woman who argued about the man paying too much attention to another woman during a card game, according to a police report.

Police responded to the call about 11 p.m. on Tuesday at 817 Main St. The 32-year-old man suffered some injuries to his face from Stephanie Shay Waldo, 24, according to the report.

The man and Waldo were playing cards and got into a verbal argument when Waldo accused the man of paying attention to another woman. The couple left the room and continued to argue outside the residence. It was at that time that Waldo assaulted the man, police said.

Police arrested Waldo, and she was charged with criminal domestic violence and booked into the Myrtle Beach Jail. The man was “uncooperative” with police and refused to give a written statement. He did not want Waldo charged, according to the report.
