Woman charged with taking thousands in merchandise from beauty store
A 38-year-old Conway woman is charged with shoplifting thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from an Ulta beauty products store in North Myrtle Beach earlier this month.
Latonya Ashantia Moses was arrested Tuesday after surrendering to North Myrtle Beach police, according to Pat Dowling, North Myrtle Beach city spokesman.
Moses is charged with shoplifting enhancement, more than $2,000 and less than $10,000, Dowling said.
The charge stems from an incident that was reported Aug. 2. Moses was shown in surveillance footage allegedly shoplifting about $2,500 in merchandise from inside a Ulta beauty store in North Myrtle Beach, Dowling said.
It appears she worked alone in the incident, according to police, and was only in the store 20 minutes before leaving, authorities said.
