Another teen arrested in connection with Myrtle Beach shooting

A second teen has been arrested in connection with a 20-year-old man injured in a Myrtle Beach shooting Wednesday.

Marcel Dwight Bridges, 19, is charged with attempted murder and two counts of discharging a firearm into a dwelling, Myrtle Beach Jail records show.

Myrtle Beach police were called about 12:30 a.m. to the intersection of Spivey Avenue and King Drive in reference to a shooting, according to a police report.

A heavy police presence surrounded the area as more officers arrived, and the victim, who authorities said was shot in the buttocks, was taken to Grand Strand Medical Center, police said.

A witness told officers that a bullet went through the wall of her home, but no one inside was injured, according to the report.

The witness said she heard multiple “pops,” which she believed were fireworks, then realized they were gunshots, the report states.

Tyler Harris, 18, of Myrtle beach was arrested Thursday in connection with the incident. He is charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime, two counts of discharging firearms into a dwelling, and attempted murder, according to Myrtle Beach Jail records.

Harris is being held at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center where his bond has not been set, records show.

Bridges was arrested Friday and is being held at the Myrtle Beach Jail where his bond has not been set.
