Dispute turned violent when man pulled this from his pocket
One man has been arrested after a shooting on Third Avenue North that sent a man to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds Saturday night.
Myrtle Beach police responded to 300 N. Ocean Blvd. at 8:24 p.m. in reference to a shooting. Officers found the victim with “multiple gunshot wounds” to his arm and torso area near 301 Flagg Street, according to an incident report.
According to witnesses, the victim and the offender were arguing when the offender pulled out a firearm from his right pocket and shot the victim multiple times, the report stated.
A witness told police the shooting took place at 300 Third Ave. N. where two shell casings were located.
A witness told police she knew the shooter and saw him run from the scene eastbound through the woods from Third Avenue North towards Kings Highway.
The victim was transported by EMS to Grand Strand Medical Center for treatment.
One person was taken into custody Saturday night, according to Lt. Joey Crosby of the Myrtle Beach Police Department. Once the suspect has been served with warrants, his name and charges will be released.
Preliminary information has revealed this incident stems from a previous dispute, Crosby said.
A witness told police the offender was the same man police were called to deal with at the same location the night before involving another incident, according to the report.
