Inside the courtroom at the Moorer kidnapping trial

The judge says the state may finish their case by lunchtime today in the trial of Sidney Moorer, who is accused of kidnapping Heather Elvis.

The first three days of the trial have covered surveillance footage, text messages and phone calls, Elvis’ date the night she disappeared and Moorer buying a pregnancy test, as well as other topics.

Moorer and his wife, Tammy, both face kidnapping charges in the disappearance of Elvis, who was last seen Dec. 18, 2013.
