Woman reports a robbery and is arrested for public intoxication
A woman flagged down Myrtle Beach Police officers in the 300 block of North Ocean Boulevard Sunday to report a robbery.
The woman told police that at about 1 a.m. she was walking along Ocean Boulevard when two men came up behind her and knocked her to the ground.
According to the police report, two black males stole her purse after knocking her down and ran.
Police noticed that the victim had slurred speech, unstable balance and smelled of alcohol, according to the report.
Officers then arrested Helen Kirby, 49, for public intoxication.
