Georgetown County police asking for public’s help identifying credit fraud suspect

The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help after someone tried to use a stolen credit card last month.

One person is sought after trying to use a stolen credit card at the Food Lion on 760 Mink Ave. in Murrells Inlet, according to Carrie Cuthberston, public information officer. The suspect unsuccessfully tried to use the card on April 23, but the card was reported stolen from a victim at a North Myrtle Beach condo on April 18.

If anyone can identify the suspect in the attached surveillance photograph or has any information regarding this incident, contact the police at 843-546-5101. Anonymous tips can be sent by dialing 274637, texting the word “GCSOTIP” followed by your message.
