An elderly woman tumbled down steps as she was robbed of cash, credit cards and other items after her purse was ripped off her shoulder outside an Ocean Boulevard ice cream shop.
Ladonna Hacker, 51, was arrested Tuesday afternoon hours afters the incident on the 200th block of Fourth Avenue South, Myrtle Beach Jail records show.
Hacker is charged with assault and battery, second-degree, robbery, drug possession of meth/cocaine base, and failure to stop for blue lights, authorities said.
Myrtle Beach officers were called about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday to 1606 South Ocean Blvd. in reference to a strong arm robbery, according to a police report.

An 84-year-old woman told police she walked across the street to buy ice cream and saw a female suspect get out of a car and follow her up the steps to the ice cream shop, police said.
The victim told police the suspect claimed she was looking for her hotel room. The victim reported that as she began walking into the shop the suspect wrapped her arm inside the shoulder strap of the victim’s purse, authorities said.
The victim said the suspect pulled so hard on the purse that she fell down the steps, and the suspect took her purse, got into a nearby car, and fled the area, according to the report.
The victim’s purse contained $100, a cellphone, e-reader device, driver’s license and credit cards, authorities said.
A witness told police he was inside working when he saw the victim on the ground screaming and he ran outside to help her. He saw the suspect running and getting into a black BMW, police said.
EMS was called, but the victim refused to go to the hospital, according to the report.
Hacker is being held at J. Reuben Long Detention Center on $122,500 bond, jail records show.
