Nearly ten men and women were arrested Tuesday afternoon in connection with prostitution in Myrtle Beach during an undercover operation.

David Lee Snyder, 81, Dennis Lee Mccray, 55, Lewis Warren Babbidge, 71, Salvador Bocanegra-Nieto, 21, Salomon Rivera-Maya, 41, are all charged with sex/prostitution, first offense, according to Myrtle Beach Jail records.

Stacy Lorraine Eubanks, 38, and Tara Ashley Danielle Nicole Olalde-Zuniga, 28, are both charged with sex/prostitution, third or subsequent offense, records show. Olalde-Zuniga is also charged with two counts of unlawful child neglect, authorities said.

Kenyetta Shanice Coleman, 36, is charged with prostitution, first offense, records show.

The arrests were made in the areas of Chester Street, Yaupon Drive, and South Ocean Boulevard, along with various avenues, but police reports outlining the details of the arrests were not immediately available Wednesday morning.

“Prostitution is a crime, and it’s a crime no one wants in their community,” Lt. Joey Crosby, spokesman with Myrtle Beach police, said.

Police have been working with business owners in the Myrtle Beach area to gain information about suspicious activity and to crack down on this crime. Authorities have been attending neighborhood watch meetings and urging the public to contact them when they see something that appears illegal, Crosby said.

“The city has been making a strong effort,” Crosby said.

Police are also being watchful of prostitution in an effort to keep other crimes down as well. If it appears prostitution is accepted in the community then other crimes will run rampant too, Crosby said.
