A Conway man is being sought by Horry County police in connection with domestic violence after the man’s beaten, 69-year-old ex-wife told police he tried to kill her.
Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for Craig Ronnie Bright, 46, of Conway in connection with domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature and are asking for the public’s help in locating him, according to Lt. Raul Denis, spokesman with Horry County police.
Police responded about 1 p.m. April 26 to a home on Lundy Avenue in Conway for a domestic violence incident.
Officers met the victim’s son at the home, and he told police his mother called him saying she needed help.

He kicked in the front door and found her assaulted in her bedroom according to a police report.
The victim appeared to have been assaulted several times due to the amount of blood that was on each limb of her body, authorities said.
The victim told police she believed Bright was trying to kill her, according to the report.
EMS arrived and treated the victim, and she was then taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, police said.
Police saw blood in several rooms in the home. The victim’s son told police she was previously married to Bright, but divorced about five years ago, authorities said.
