A man wanted in connection with a January bank robbery was arrested by Georgetown police Monday morning during a traffic stop.
Percy Blackwell Jr., 47, of Andrews is charged with robbery and simple possession of marijuana, according to Georgetown County Detention Center records.
Blackwell was arrested at about 11:30 a.m. Monday after investigators made a traffic stop on a vehicle he was riding in on Alex Alford Road, authorities said.
The robbery charge stems from an incident on Jan. 15. On that date at about 12 p.m., Blackwell walked into the South State Bank on Church Street in Georgetown and passed a note to the teller, demanding money, police said.
