Myrtle Beach police were called to the corner of Seaside Place and Porcher Drive in reference to a gunshot victim shortly before 6 p.m Wednesday.

One man was shot in the abdomen area and was transported to the hospital for treatment, according to the police report. The victim’s condition is unknown, but police said he was “in and out” of consciousness during the ambulance ride and was unable to provide a statement.

Authorities weren’t able to get a statement from the victim, and detectives took over the investigation.

Neighbors reported hearing arguments coming from a home near the intersection of Porcher Drive and Seaside Place throughout the day Wednesday. And then a gunshot rang out.
