Horry County police need the public’s help identifying an armed robbery suspect.

Police responded to the McDonald’s on 9595 N. Kings Highway along Restaurant Row around 5 a.m. Monday, where a victim said the restaurant was robbed at gunpoint. The victim said she pulled into the parking lot to open the store for business when a man “charged” up to her, according to a police report.

Once inside, the suspect pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded she unlock the safe, the report said. Once the victim opened the safe, police said the suspect started removing money trays.

The suspect fled out the back door, police said.

The suspect is described as black male, about 6 foot, heavy set, wearing a gray hoodie, black mask and gloves. He is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached, police said.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call police at 843-915-5350 or the tip line at 843-915-8477.
