Conway police looking for second attempted murder suspect
Police made one arrest after a gunshot victim was found in the area of Grainger Road earlier this month, and authorities are looking for another suspect in connection with the shooting.
Cornelis Atkinson, 29, of Conway is being sought by police in connection with the shooting, authorities said.
About 8 p.m. April 8, Conway police were called to the 1100 block of Grainger Road in Conway in reference to a gunshot victim, police said.
The victim walked to Grainger Road after being shot in the area of Ladson Street, authorities said.
During the investigation, Ronnie Atkinson was arrested and charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and failure to appear, according to J. Reuben Long records.
Ronnie Atkinson was released from the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on April 10 on $31,313.25, records show.
Cornelis Atkinson is described as 6 feet 1 inch tall and 170 pounds and his last known address was in the area of Ladson Street in Conway.
