Multiple arrests made after DEU, SWAT raid Myrtle Beach apartment
Six people were arrested by the 15th Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit today after it and Myrtle Beach SWAT raided an apartment in Myrtle Beach, according to DEU Deputy Commander Dean Bishop.
Bishop said the investigation into the apartment located off Yaupon Drive had been going on for more than a month and that they had information that the people living there may be selling crack cocaine.
Tuesday morning a search warrant was executed and one person David Tisdale, was arrested, Bishop said.
Another man, Lamont Tisdale, is wanted by police in connection with this raid, Bishop said. Bishop said earlier that Lamont Tisdale had been arrested during the raid, but later said he learned he had not been arrested, and was still at large.
Bishop said the charges against those two will be released at a later time.
Three other men and one woman from the home was also arrested. Warrants are being obtained for those individuals after the drugs were found in the home, Bishop said.
Two children, both 1-years-old, were also put into the custody of the Department of Social Services.
Bishop said agents found crack cocaine, marijuana, prescription medications and a handgun at the apartment.
