Suspect charged in Myrtle Beach motel robbery, shooting
A 19-year-old man was arrested Friday in connection with an April 3, Myrtle Beach motel shooting and robbery.
Rasheem Roland Amos is charged with armed robbery, assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, drug possession, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to Myrtle Beach Jail records.
Officers were called about 3:30 p.m. April 3 at a motel at 707 Flagg Street in reference a shooting incident, according to Myrtle Beach police report.
An 18-year-old male victim told police he was making a phone in the motel stairwell when someone came up to him, pointed a gun, and demanded money, authorities said.
The victim said he gave the suspect, who he said he didn’t know, $60 and was then shot in the hand by the suspect, police said.
The suspect then ran from the scene on foot, according to the report.
