Police investigating beach sexual assault
A victim reported being raped on the beach early Tuesday, and Myrtle Beach police were called to a Little River-area hospital to investigate, authorities said.
Officers were called about 6 p.m. Tuesday to McLeod Seacoast Hospital in Little River where a victim, whose age was not listed, reported the incident, according to police report.
The victim told police the sexual assault happened between midnight and 1 a.m. Tuesday on the beach at Sixth Avenue South.
Detectives were notified, police said in the report, but no further information on the alleged attack was available in the incident report.
