One more charged in Conway party sexual assault, two others sought

Another man was arrested in connection with a sexual assault involving a woman raped by multiple men at a party in a Conway home about a week ago.

Two others had been arrested previously, and police are still searching for two more suspects, according to Lt. Raul Denis, spokesman with Horry County police.

Raheen Levar Linnen, 24, of Georgetown, was arrested Wednesday after police continued to investigate the incident, which allegedly happened March 12, and Linnen is charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct and kidnapping, jail records show.

Matthew Tyler Goodwin, 25, of Conway and Javon Lorenz Johnson, 21, of Conway were arrested in connection with the incident and are each charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct and kidnapping, authorities said.

Goodwin and Johnson were arrested hours after Horry County police were called about 12 p.m. Saturday to Conway Medical Center in reference to a sexual assault.

The 19-year-old victim told police she went to a party about 3:40 a.m. Saturday with two friends at a home on the 1700 block of Bayberry Drive in Conway, off Carolina Road near U.S. 501, according to the report.

The victim asked where the bathroom was shortly after arriving at the party and was directed to it by one of the suspects. She told police two men came into the bathroom and began sexually assaulting her soon afterward, police said.

The victim said she told the suspects “no” and she didn’t want “to do this,” but the men continued to assault her, authorities said.

The victim said she was forced into the bedroom where the assault continued, and that several people tried to enter the bedroom, but were stopped by one of the men, according to the report.

The assault lasted for about 45 minutes to an hour, the victim said.

Dequan Rashawn Paulin, 21, of Conway, and Roman Avedis Ferguson, 20, of Sumter, are both wanted in connection with first-degree criminal sexual conduct and kidnapping in this case, Denis said.
