Authorities investigating Loris shooting; two victims being treated

Loris authorities are investigating a shooting incident that happened in the Main Street area early Wednesday morning that sent two victims to the hospital, according to Loris Police Chief Karen Shepherd.

The shooting happened about 1 a.m. Wednesday, and two victims were transported following the incident.

One victim was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center and was stable, but in surgery as of 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, and no further information was released as to his current condition, police said.

Another victim was taken to a hospital in Loris and was in stable condition Wednesday morning.
