MBPD: Man wanted in connection with breach of trust after failing to return rental car
A man is wanted in connection with breach of trust after a Toyota Camry was rented from a Myrtle Beach business and not returned as planned last month.
Myrtle Beach police are looking for Eric Bernard Mitchell Jr., 23, in connection with the incident, which happened Feb. 2, according to police.
The breach of trust was reported on March 1 at Fox Rent-A-Car at 1097 Jetport Road in Myrtle Beach.
A 25-year-old woman who works at the car rental business told police Mitchell rented a silver, 2015 Camry, valued at $23,840 on Feb. 2 and was supposed to return it on Feb. 7, but failed to do so, according to a police report.
The woman tried to contact the suspect by phone and email, but didn’t get a response, and neither did police when they attempted to contact him as well, authorities said.
Anyone with information on Mitchell’s whereabouts can call Myrtle Beach police at 843-918-1382.
