A Conway woman recently charged with robbing a Wendy’s was also charged with armed robberies last year at Pet Safari and Bellacino’s.

Vicki Sword, 46, was arrested March 1 after a Wendy’s at 702 Church Street was robbed.

Officers responded to the Conway Wendy’s about 9:45 p.m. March 1 in reference to the armed robbery. Employees gave police a description of the suspect and police identified someone matching that description as they responded to the scene, according to Lt. Selena Small, spokeswoman with Conway police.

After further investigation, police said Sword is connected to other Conway-area robberies as well and will have three other counts of armed robbery in addition to the charge after the incident at Wendy’s.

Authorities said those charges stem from two armed robberies that occurred at Bellacino’s at 1600 Main St. – one July 24 and another Oct. 31. The third armed robbery police tied to Sword happened July 24 at Pet Safari at 1807 Parkview Road in Conway, Small said.

Sword is also charged with two counts of failure to appear and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to jail records.

She is being held at J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
