Police make arrest in Stonebridge break-ins
A 41-year-old Columbus, Ohio, man was arrested Wednesday and accused of breaking into vehicles in the Stonebridge neighborhood.
Antonio Householder was charged with no driver’s license, simple possession of marijuana, possession of stolen vehicle, failure to stop for blue lights and siren, and breaking into motor vehicles.
At about 3 a.m. Wednesday morning, Horry County police responded to Stonebridge Drive, in the unincorporated area of Myrtle Beach, for a suspicious vehicle, according to police.
The caller gave a description of the car and the license plate to officers who were in that area in response to the number of vehicle break-ins. Police quickly spotted the car and the driver gave chase, refusing to stop for the blue lights and sirens, accoridng to the police report.
The chase ended when the driver lost control of the car and crashed into a ditch, police said.
He was in custody at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center Wednesday night.
