Victim assaulted at Myrtle Beach hotel, suspect leaves the scene
Myrtle Beach police investigate an assault at a Myrtle Beach hotel.
Police were called to the Calypso Inn on the 100 block of Flagg Street about 3:30 a.m. Saturday.
The victim told police that he heard a loud car pull into the parking lot of the hotel and witnessed a man banging on the door of a residence upstairs, according to the police report.
The victim told police that he told the suspect that no one lived in the residence. The suspect replied that he was looking for Kimberly.
The victim went on to tell police that the suspect then went to a downstairs room and started banging on the door.
The victim yelled to the people inside to call the police.
According to the police report, the suspect then lunged toward the victim, pulled out a knife and grabbed the victim by the throat.
The suspect allegedly cut the victim on his face near his left eye.
The victim then got away from the suspect and the suspect fled the scene in a car. While backing out, the suspect crashed into a staircase, damaging the rear window of the car.
Police are looking for a white male, approximately 6’-6’2”, short hair, driving a white 4-door sports car.
