Horry County Sheriff Office's warns of jury duty scammers

Horry County Sheriff's Office is alerting residents of what they are calling a scam.

Unknown persons are identifying themselves as supervisors with the Horry County Sheriff's Warrant Division or J Reuben Long Detention Center, according to Horry County Sheriff's Office Facebook.

The sheriff's office said that these people are calling residents and threatening to arrest them if they don't pay a fine or bond for failing to show for Grand Jury Duty.

The office says it does not collect fines or bonds for any court and not to pay if someone calls you threatening arrest.
