A 25-year-old man wanted in connection with multiple charges, including robbery, aggravated assault, and kidnapping is now behind bars.

Dameion Hakeem Alston of Myrtle Beach, also known as “Demon,” is charged with robbery/attempted armed or allegedly armed robbery, assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, kidnapping, first-degree burglary, and possession of weapon during a violent crime, according to Myrtle Beach Jail records.

Alston was also wanted in Conway in connection with armed robbery and was taken into custody by Horry County Sheriff’s Office authorities Friday and booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center before he was transported to the Myrtle Beach Jail where he was booked at 4 p.m., records show.

Details of his capture were not available on Saturday morning.

Myrtle Beach police announced Alston was wanted in connection with the above charges through social media channels on Tuesday and deemed him “armed and extremely dangerous,” according to the department’s Twitter and Facebook posts.

The Myrtle Beach charges stem from an incident that happened on the evening of Jan. 27 at an apartment on the 200th block of Cedar Street, according to a police report.

A 37-year-old female victim said Alston knocked on her door then forced his way inside and began choking her and holding a gun to her head while demanding to know where items were located, police said.

The victim said the suspect then opened the door and let another man inside. She lost consciousness from being choked and said the suspects were gone when she woke up, authorities said.

Alston was wanted by Conway police in connection with a reported armed robbery involving a man’s vehicle being taken at gunpoint on Jan. 14 at his home on the 1800th block of Westridge Boulevard, according to a police report.

The man, whose age was not listed, told police that when he arrived home from work a man wearing black appeared, stuck a gun in his face, and demanded the keys to his vehicle, which had a gun, Playstation gaming console, and his cellphone inside, authorities said.

Alston was being held at the Myrtle Beach Jail on Saturday morning without bond because he must appear before a circuit court judge to have his bond set because of the serious nature of his charges, officials said.
