S.C. Highway Patrol seeking information on fatal U.S. 501 hit and run

The S.C. Highway Patrol is still seeking information on a hit and run from last week.

Horry County Fire and Rescue responded to fatal accident involving a truck and pedestrian on U.S. 501 South near the Forestbrook Road exit on Jan. 27. The crash occurred around 10:17 p.m., according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.

The accident, which killed 45-year-old Anthony Lamonte Thompson of Salters, S.C., is still being investigated by the S.C. Highway Patrol and troopers are asking the public for help. The vehicle and suspect is still unknown.
