Horry County police are asking for the public’s help identifying a robbery suspect.

Officers responded to a report of a robbery on Jan. 13 around 11 a.m. where a man was assaulted at an undisclosed convenience store on Kings Road in Myrtle Beach, according to Lt. Raul Denis, spokesman with the Horry County Police Department.

The victim was approached by a woman asking for money and then a man who was with her demanded more money from the man, Denis said. The man left the convenience store and was later assaulted by the suspect who had followed him.

The suspect is a black male, about 20 years old, about 5 feet, 7 inches tall, with a light complexion, Denis said.

Anyone with information about the identity or whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call police at 843-915-8477.
