Police investigating reported rape in Surfside Beach

Horry County police responded to a residence on South Kings Highway in Surfside Beach Sunday morning for a reported rape.

Horry County Police Department Lt. Raul Denis said the rape was reported to have occurred near Holiday Inn on the beach. There were no further details given Sunday evening. A police report was not available.
