Police looking for suspects after gun flashed at Broadway at the Beach

Myrtle Beach police are looking for two suspects after a man and woman said a man pointed a gun at them from a car window then later showed them a gun while following them into a Broadway at the Beach bar.

Officers were called about 9 p.m. Wednesday in regards to a weapons law violation at Broadway at the Beach, according to a police report.

A 37-year-old woman told police she was riding in a car traveling on 48th Avenue North toward Broadway at the Beach with a 33-year-old man when the driver of the suspect’s vehicle almost struck their car, police said.

The woman said the suspects then pulled up next to their vehicle and one of the passengers in the suspects’ vehicle opened his window and pointed a gun at the man and woman, according to the report.

The victims sped up but the suspects kept pace with them. The woman tried to take a picture of the suspects, but lost sight of them. A witness following behind the victims said he saw the suspects turn east onto 29th Avenue North then cut across lanes of traffic to follow the victims into Broadway at the Beach, police said.

The suspects parked near the two victims and two witnesses who were with the victims. The suspects then followed them up to a Broadway at the Beach bar, and one of the men lifted up his shirt and showed them a gun on his hip, authorities said.

The victims then went inside to call police, and the two male suspects left the area.

They were last seen leaving Broadway at the Beach in a four-door, dark-colored vehicle with North Carolina tags.
