Fugitive search leads Horry County police to seize heroin, cocaine, assault rifles from Loris home
Horry County police arrested three men after a fugitive search led to the seizure of hundreds of grams of drugs.
Horry County police’s gang unit and the U.S. Marshall Fugitive Task Force responded to a residence on Live Oak Church Road, in Loris, to look for a fugitive on Friday. Officers confirmed the wanted man was inside the residence around 11:15 a.m. but he refused to come out, according to a police report.
Police obtained a search warrant and went inside the residence to arrest the fugitive, and after searching the home police found several guns, multiple rounds of ammunition, packaged drugs and a clear plastic bag of heroin, according to the report.
Three men were arrested, but their identities cannot be revealed because it is still an “open investigation,” according to Lt. Raul Denis with Horry County police.
Officers searched nearby cars and found several rifles and bags of drugs, and police searched a wooded area near the house where a black backpack was found. The backpack contained multiple bags of heroin, cocaine and marijuana, according to the report.
Two assault rifles were also found in some pine straw near the woods, covered by a black sweatshirt, the report said. Police also seized over $81,000 in cash.

- 441 grams of crack
- 35 grams of cocaine
- marijuana
- 12-gauge Remington shotgun
- Glock 22
- Inter Arms .357 revolver
- Ultralax 4x25 scope
- Norinco 762 90 sportster rifle
- Arsenal Model SA93 rifle
- SKSn7.62 rifle
- $81,887 in cash
The three men arrested were taken to J. Reuben Detention Center, the report said.
