Man charged with sexually assaulting teen

A 21-year-old man was arrested in connection with the sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl in Conway.

Semaj Jaquon Gagum of Marion is charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and kidnapping, J. Reuben Detention Center jail records show.

Officers were called about 9 p.m. Jan. 10 to a location on Robin Road where the victim reported the incident, according to a police report.

The victim told authorities she was sexually assaulted at an unknown location along Leonard Avenue in Conway, police said.

Gagum surrendered to police on Tuesday, Lt. Selena Small with Conway police said, but a report outlining the details of his arrest was not available by Wednesday.

Gagum is being held on $20,000 bond, jail records show.
