Police investigating after pizza robbery
Myrtle Beach police are investigating a possible armed robbery after a delivery man was robbed of pizza early Friday morning.
Officers were called about 2 a.m. to the 1400th block of Eastbrook Road where a 24-year-old Pizza Shak delivery man reported the incident, police said.
The victim said he was approached by three men who told him they ordered the pizzas he was delivering. When the victim set the order down on his car to get his cellphone, one of the men grabbed the pizza bag and took off, authorities said.
The victim said he noticed the man had a handgun on his hip when he ran after the men. Another one of the suspects pulled a handgun from his hoodie and pointed it at the victim during the chase, according to a police report.
The victim then stopped chasing the men and called police. Authorities arrived and searched the area, but didn’t find the men.
No arrests were made by late Friday morning.
