Woman reports sexual assault attempt at Broadway at the Beach

Myrtle Beach police are investigating after a woman reported a man tried to sexually assault her at Broadway at the Beach on Wednesday.

Officers were called about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday to Celebrity Circle at Broadway at the Beach where a victim, whose age was not listed, reported the incident, authorities said.

The woman told police that a man tried to sexually assault her outside a guest services building at the entertainment complex and said he was using “abusive language” and had been drinking alcohol, according to a police report.

Detectives were called to the scene, and the report noted the investigation is ongoing; however, no further details on the incident were available.
