Woman wanted for assault gets new charge when police find drug pipe in squad car

A woman accused of beating another woman outside of a hotel in November was arrested Saturday night and now faces a new charge after police found what they called a drug pipe in the patrol car that carried her to jail.

A warrant was issued for 31-year-old Leslee Estelle Brock earlier this month. Brock was charged with assault and battery after a witness told police Brock attacked a woman who was walking down 15^th Avenue South towards Ocean Boulevard on Nov. 28.

After the offender broke it off, the victim sat down at the Summer Sands to gather herself, according to the incident report. But a witness cited in the report said Brock returned, knocked the victim to the ground and hit her several times before walking away.

The victim was transported by EMS to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center for minor cuts and bruising, according to the report.

Myrtle Beach police arrested Brock on the earlier warrant when they found Brock “verbally fighting with a white male” at 1610 S. Kings Highway Saturday night.

Police say Brock was charged with a drug equipment violation when the arresting officer found a red steel pipe “used for smoking narcotics” in the back of the patrol car after Brock was transported to jail.
