One arrested at Myrtle Beach airport after gun found in carry-on bag
A loaded firearm was discovered in a carry-on bag at Myrtle Beach International Airport Sunday, Dec. 20, according to Mark J. Howell, regional spokesperson for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA.)
The loaded .38 caliber handgun was found around 1:30 p.m. at a security checkpoint.
Allan George Querubin, 46, of Marion, was arrested for carrying a concealable weapon into a posted place, according to the Horry County public index.
TSA immediately alerted airport police, who took possession of the bag and arrested the passenger on state charges.
According to a police report, the gun was found in a black backpack and had six rounds in it.
