Conway police arrest man in connection to several vehicle break-ins
Conway police have charged one man with nine counts of breaking into a motor vehicle in connection to an incident at Coastal Club Apartments.
Donovan McManus, 18, of Conway, is charged with nine counts of breaking into a motor vehicle. The charges stem from several incidents between Tuesday and Thursday.
Conway police asked the public for help identifying McManus Thursday after officers responded to Coastal Club Apartments, located at 632 Hwy 544 in Conway, for a burglary report.
Officers were told a vehicle was broken into Tuesday night between 11 p.m. and midnight, according to Lt. Selena Small with Conway police. Officers reviewed video surveillance which showed a white male breaking into the car, Small said.
A witness saw the suspect on Facebook and recognized him, and then observed him attempt to enter another vehicle, Small said. McManus was arrested Friday.
McManus was arrested in October for possession of a controlled substance, according to jail records. He is being held at J. Reuben Detention Center awaiting bond.
