Horry County police investigating Conway apartment complex shooting
Horry County police are investigating a shooting at a Conway apartment complex from late last week.
Officers responded to 360 Commonwealth Circle in Conway around 10:21 p.m. Thursday to a report of shots fired. Two victim, a 21-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy, told police two male suspects came to their apartment with guns and tried to take the victims out of their home, according to the police report.
The victims said the suspects came to their apartment and tried to get the 16-year-old victim out of the house, the report said. The victims ran into the back bedroom and called police, and the suspects walked back to the parking lot while continuing to make threatening statements, police said.
After a few minutes the victims went outside to confront the suspects – who were still in the parking lot – when the suspects started shooting at the victims, police said. The 20-year-old victim attempted to fire a handgun at the suspects but the gun jammed and he couldn’t fire off a round, the report said.
The victims ran back inside and the suspects drove away, the report said. No one was hurt in the incident, police said.
The 16-year-old victim told police he saw the suspects earlier while taking out the trash, and that those suspects had been making threats at him for several days, the report said. The victim said he is scared of the suspects.
