Myrtle Beach police arrest suspect in hotel shooting
Myrtle Beach police have made an arrest in connection to a motel shooting that happened in May.
Police arrested Igor Lourenco, 22, shortly after midnight Monday for the May 20th shooting at the Summer Sands Motel on Ocean Boulevard.
During that shooting, a victim was shot in the leg and taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The shooting happened during Bikefest, however, police do not think it is connected to the rally.
“We have no evidence or information that would lead us to believe that this incident is connected with Bikefest,” said Lt. Joey Crosby, Myrtle Beach Police Department following the May incident.
Lourenco is jailed on attempted murder charges.
